Established in 1991, the Iladevi Cataract and IOL Research Centre (ICIRC) has evolved into one of India’s leading institutions dedicated to pioneering eye research.

Establishment

Since becoming a fully operational research facility in 2000, ICIRC has earned recognition from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Recognition

Notably, we are the only DSIR-recognized eye research laboratory in western India, a distinction that underscores our commitment to impactful, innovation-driven science.
