About Iladevi Cataract and IOL Research Centre (ICIRC)

Established in 1991, ICIRC has evolved into one of India’s leading institutions dedicated to pioneering eye research.

Since becoming a fully operational research facility in 2000, ICIRC has earned recognition as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) from the ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Notably, we are the only DSIR-SIRO-recognized eye research laboratory in western India, a distinction that underscores our commitment to impactful, innovation-driven science.
